Fall is in full swing and the holidays will quickly be sneaking up on us! Take time this month to celebrate Thanksgiving with family, friends and neighbors on Thursday the 25th. Now is the time of year to stop and think about what you are most thankful for! Be sure to let those special people in your life know how much you care about them!
The rains here locally are bringing snow to the mountains. Downhill and cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and camping may be some activities that you're looking forward to. As a favor to yourself and those who love you, be sure to carry a GPS unit along with all of your other emergency supplies. Every year it seems that someone gets into weather related trouble and a tracking device can make all of the difference in the outcome.
If you're going out for the shopping frenzy on Black Friday, you might want to take the opportunity at those sale prices to pick up a gift or two for a child in need, or a coat and hat for someone who is homeless. Most churches do coat drives this time of year and would welcome an addition of warm outerwear for their outreach into the community. After all of that shopping a Christmas tree lighting may be the perfect way to end your day. Check out the community calendar for events near you.
Whether you spend that weekend at bazaars, markets, or in the malls, enjoy the time with family and friends. Time together is the best gift that we can give one another and something that no amount of money can buy.
Wishing you all a holiday filled with love, laughter, and wonderful memories.
